About Keith Kidwell
Keith Kidwell and his wife of 40 years, Viki, live in Chocowinity and have one son, Jason, working alongside him in the family business. Keith and Viki have four grandchildren, April, Keith II, Julian, and Liberty, with whom they spend much of their spare time. They also raised their niece Kimberly, who was orphaned in 1992. In addition to being a family man, Keith is a successful GOP Chairman, business executive, and civic leader.
GOP Chairman
Keith served six years as the Beaufort County GOP Chairman and one year as the 3rd Congressional District 1st Vice Chairman. He served as Treasurer of the 3rd Congressional District for two years. During his time, he established a training program for the Party poll workers, and Election Judges successfully took on the Raleigh Establishment to get a locally elected person seated on the Board of Elections. This made great strides in uniting a very divided Republican County Party and defeated a $30,000,000 waste of taxpayers’ money on a jail that was being ramrodded through against the voters’ wishes.
Keith is currently serving his third term in the North Carolina General Assembly Representing the 79th District consisting of Beaufort, Dare, Hyde, and Pamlico counties. He coordinated several successful lawsuits to rein in the Governor’s overreach when he closed our churches, gyms, restaurants, and hair salons.
Keith passed legislation that reformed executive orders related to Emergency Powers to stop hospitals from blocking clergy access to patients in hospitals.
